Hello, friends! Jana Eubank here. If you have never attended a concert with your adult child, I highly recommend it! I couldn't wait to scrapbook this memory with my son using the Rustic Legend collection. It was perfect in every way!
I began this layout with several banner strips layered together on the left side of the page. I then placed each of my photos behind frames. Two of the frames are cut from the patterned papers, and then the third frame comes from the Chipboard Bits. I kept the layers together on the chipboard frame because I really liked the way they highlighted the band in the photo.
On the right edge of my photos, I layered together a couple of the tags from the Tags Paper, along with a circular Journaling Bit to highlight the story of my layout.
Next, I used both sets of Rustic Legend Clear Stamps, the Icons and the numbers, to create embellishments for my page. I stamped out the camera and cassette tape to highlight my title, then created stars in several colors to sprinkle throughout. I love that the Icons stamps included some patterns. I used second-generation stamping in gray to add some distressing to all of the images.
I used the Number Stamps to add the year of my photos to the bottom-right corner of the page, along with more stars. The star image originally had a star in the center, but I used a smaller star die to cut out the middle creating donut-shaped stars. I really liked the unique window-effect this added to my star embellishments.
Creating your own embellishments with stamps & dies is so much FUN! I love that I was able to customize the colors of the images to go with my layout. The woodgrain star images were some of my favorites and I know I will be using those images again on future layouts.
