Hello Simple Stories friends!

It's Nathalie here to share some fresh and fun inspiration featuring the new beautiful CRAFTY BABE collection from Simple Stories.   I have to say that this collection is just so much fun to work with, and the perfect complement to document all your crafting adventures.  The icons, the color palette, and the fun designs are just lovely and so easy to work with.  Let me show you what I have created:

My starting point for this layout was the camera in the large ephemera pack of this collection.  I played around with the idea of having photos cascading from it onto the layout.

I used a craft knife to cut out a small rectangle/slit from the camera. That already created a space to tuck a photo from it.  So, I went a step further and used the polaroid die (Spellbinders) to create the frame from one of the 3x4 cards from the journaling cards patterned paper.

I wanted a paper that created lots of contrast for the background, so I pulled the b side of the Crafty Times paper as the base for this layout and then decided to add a second photo to the spread.  This time, I cut another 3x4 card and using the craft knife took the center out to create a frame for my photo.

I realized that I need to add a frame around the layout, so before attaching everything to the base, I trimmed the paper to about 10" square. The Making Memories has the perfect color to contrast the stripes in the base, so I carefully using a craft knife- separated parts of the elements on the paper, so that they create a bottom border for my spread.

I added just a few extra embellishments to the page (there are so many to choose from in this collection), then combined a few pieces from the foam shapes to create the title for this page. I completed my page with a few enamel dots.

I love how this page turned out and I hope it inspires you to check the new CRAFTY BABE collection.  You are going to love it all!!
