Who's ready for fall...No one? Okay, same here. 😄 I'm still soaking up all the sunshine and not quite ready to let go of summer.
BUT—I’ve got something that might just make you a little more excited about cooler days and cozy vibes: the Simple Vintage Autumn Breeze collection!
I created a warm and whimsical layout using it, so let’s dive in!
I kicked things off by picking one of the prettiest patterned papers in the collection, called Welcome Fall, which features beautiful watercolor trees in soft fall colors. Total Indian summer vibes! I trimmed off half of the trees and adhered them onto white cardstock to create the base of my layout. Then, I grabbed another patterned paper from the Collection Kit—the one covered in pumpkins. I fussy cut about a dozen pumpkins and set them aside for later. Next up was the photo! I picked a picture from a brunch date with a friend and matted it using a few papers from the 6x8 paper pad for some layering. Once that was done, I adhered it to my background.
Time for pumpkins! I added my cut-outs using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape to create dimension and depth. To give everything a grounded look, I used the scalloped border sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet—it adds such a cute finishing edge along the bottom.
And of course, no layout is complete without brads and enamel dots, right? I added a few here and there—especially in the centers of the flowers, which I love doing for that extra bit of charm. To finish it all off, I went in with my signature gold splatters.
And that’s it! I hope this inspires you to dip your toes into fall crafting—even if you're not quite ready to trade your sandals for sweaters just yet.
