C'est La Vie! by Emma Toon

Hello again, it’s Emma with you today. I’d like to share how I’ve started using the Hello Today collection.

I choose to use the new 6x8 Speckled dots Flipbook, it also comes in the smaller 4x6 size.

You’ll notice the speckled dots design running through the Hello Today collection.

To decorate the front of the flipbook I used one of the chipboard frames, you’ll see how I have cut it down so it’s just one frame aperture. It fits better for me and I’ve covered up the cut edge by layering up chipboard butterflies. I’ve used puffy sticky pads to add more height.

I kept the butterfly theme by using the gorgeous 3x4 butterfly card which I’d cut down from one of the sheets from the 6x8 paper pad.

I then just placed a little grouping of self adhesive brads for extra detail.

For the first page in my flipbook I simply placed one of the 6x8 pages from the paper pack, I loved the wording ‘collect beautiful memories’ and as you saw by my flipbook cover, I love butterflies!!

Ok, let’s look at how I’ve designed my ‘monthly’ pages. I chose to have one full 6x8 page dedicated to each month. I wanted the design to have the month clearly showing, some decoration and also an area to add some journaling about what that months memories had been.

I wanted to keep the basic design to stay the same for each page, I like how this makes the flipbook flow.

Just because the design layout is pretty much the same on each page, I think you’ll agree that each page has a different feel, this is because of the different colours I’ve picked out and the embellishments which I’ve used.

I shall continue this flipbook for the full year of 2021, I will remove the sectioned pages which are included and replace them all with full 6x8 pages...the flipbooks make it so super easy to add more pages with the fancy metal mechanism.

Hope you liked how I’ve used the Hello Today collection so far, how are you planning on using it?
