Ahoy Mateys!
I hope you are ready to sail off with me with this mini album using the Simple Vintage Vintage Seas Collection.
Beach Vibes, seashores, set sail! Painting a picture here, no need with SV Vintage Seas Collection- it takes me on vacation just by looking at it. I love that you can document a beach day, an excursion either to the ocean or sea, a lighthouse, coastal vibes, and much more. I have an album ready to be filled with photos for the summer!
Let's get started
For the base of the album you'll need:
(2) 8.5x5.5 inches Chipboard pieces front and back covers.
(1) 8.5x2 inches for the spine.
(2) pieces of cardstock, color vibe 12x12 textured cardstock- warm white for wrapping the chipboard. Trim pages 8.5 by 11 inches. I added double-sided adhesive to glue both sheets and the chipboard.
Assemble- Front, spine, and back cover, leaving an eighth-of-an-inch gap between the front, spine, and back cover that prevents the paper from tearing when the album is closed. At the corners cut diagonal, and leave an eighth-of-an-inch that makes sure the paper covers the chipboard after wrapping.
Hinge -
(1) 8.5x8- Score at two(2) and then every half until you reach six(6) inches. Fold hinges up like hills leaving one flat in-between. Add glue of your choice to keep the hills together. Adhere the hinge to the spine.
Pocket Pages -
(2) 8.5x11 - Score at 5 and 10.
(2) 4.125x11- Score at 5 and 10
At this time, hinges should have double-sided adhesive on both sides. Adhere Pocket pages to hinges, and add glue to the bottom of the pockets to close.
Front Page - Horizontal pages
(1) 5.5x8.5- Score at 0.5 - adhere on the right
(1) 5x8.5- Score at 0.5- adhere on the left.
Add magnets to keep the pages closed.
Front Back Page - Vertical Pages
(1) 6x5- Score at 0.5- adhere at the top
(1) 4.5x5- Score at 0.5- adhere at the bottom.
Add magnets to keep the pages closed.
The Middle hinges have just two pockets.
(2) 4.125x11- Score at 5 and 10. Add glue to the bottom of each pocket to close.
On the last page, I added horizontal flip pages to the from and back.
(2) 4.5x8.5- Schore at 0.5.
Add magnets to keep the pages closed.
Time to embellish:
- Cover page -Lace Trim, SV Vintage Seas- Beach Vibes paper, chipboard frame, enamel dots, layered stickers.
- Inside the front cover, I created a pocket, embellished with chipboard. You can add the tags, notes, or photos.
- The Simple Vintage, Vintage Seas 12x12 Basics kit is perfect for photo mats.
- The journal elements, decorative brads, enamel dots, cardstock, and foam stickers brought this mini-album together beautifully.
The album can hold 3x4, 2x2 photos. Inside the pockets - you can add larger photos by turning them into tags or brochures, memorabilia!
