Hello, Nicole here today to share a fun single page layout with the new Say Cheese Classic Mouse Halloween Collection.
I love the bright and bold colors found within this collection. I was immediately drawn to the layered pumpkin border from the Icon Sticker sheet and designed my layout around using that. This design is one that I use a lot, whether it’s in a vertical or horizontal orientation. I basically create two sections on the outer edges and then use the center to arrange all the photos, journaling and title pieces.
The green stitching pattern paper was a perfect contrast to the colors in the border sticker so I used that at the very top of the layout, as well as covering up the preprinted imagery on the base paper - I wanted the grid pattern for the center. I built my title for the Foam Stickers and fit them between the photos I matted with a black pattern paper from the 12x12 Collection Pack.
When using collections that feature a bold black color in the mix, I love doing what I like to call reverse journal strips. I simply change the font color to white, and fill the text box with back. This creates a bold, negative style printed journaling that really pops against all those bright colors and pairs with the other black elements in the collection.
I used large ghost die cuts from the Bits & Pieces to create some clusters, and paired them with some bats from the Icon Stickers. A fun pre-made banner from the Foam Stickers finished off the details below my large journaling area.
