Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here and I can't believe it's 2024! 2023 just flew right on by and I'm so excited to see what this new year will bring. To kick things off, I've got a new layout to share that features the Happy New Year 12x12 Simple Set. I hope that you like it!
First things first, this color palette? Love! It's so fun and festive. I love the pops of pinks and yellows... gorgeous! In this set, there are 3 different double sided patterned papers and I challenged myself to use all of them on my page. I managed to use all but one, so I think I did pretty well. I used the striped side (B side) of the Midnight Kisses paper as my base. I then trimmed down a large piece of the polka dot side of the It's A New Year paper and added it at the bottom. I love how it pops on those stripes! To add even more pattern, I added a piece from the Midnight Kisses paper to the middle and for some blue, I trimmed and adhered a piece of the Elements paper right at the top.
I love how all of the patterns work so well together and it's not so busy! I thought it would be fun to add all of the numbers from the Cardstock Stickers on a line across my page. I popped each one on foam tape for some extra interest.
I then matted my photos and tucked them into the numbers. I trimmed out a few of the squares from the Elements paper and tucked them behind my photos. I used the 'Celebrate' sticker as my title and centered it at the top of my photos.
The Elements paper had this great 3x4 cut out that was perfect for my journaling. I replaced the title on it using a Cardstock Sticker and layered the rest of the small cut out squares on the bottom right of it. I even added a few more of the stickers to embellish that cute cluster.
To create this page, I didn't pull anything additional (other than some tangled thread) and solely used the Simple Set. To embellish the rest of my layout, I went through the rest of the Cardstock Stickers and layered a few here and there.
There are so many possibilities with this one kit and I could have totally made another page using it! I added some tangled thread in coordinating colors to finish this page off.
Here's one last look:
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! This Simple Set was fun to work with, I can't wait to see how y'all use it. See you next time friends!
