Hi Crafty friends!
Here I am back to share a simple, but elegant memory album using The Simple Life Collection.
I wanted my album to have an aesthetic look with more black and some light shaded colors. When I saw this collection, I was so excited to start this project :)--it's perfect with a very subtle, yet defined color pallet!
I started with the base of the album by pasting 2 pieces of chipboard (for the front and back) and 1 spine chipboard. I then covered everything using the coordinating Color Vibe cardstock-- this one is a pale cream color to coordinate.
Then I attached 2 gold binder ring to the spine. To make the spine more catchy, I also used the decorative brads as charm and attached it on to the spine with a pretty, handmade gingham bow.
Once I am finished the base, I decorated the front of the album with The Simple Life embellishments--so many options to choose from! Once I placed all of my favorites design pieces, I finished off the look with enamel dots... one of my favorites to basic accents!
For the pages, I trimmed most of the tags and journaling cards from the 12 inch pattern papers and few patterned sheets to make envelope, hidden pockets and more fun pages.
Then I arranged everything height wise, from shortest to taller. I also added stiches on every page to give them a fussy look.
Next, I attached a see through- shaker, some places to add journaling, then spaces to paste pictures.
The pretty illustrations from this collection really captured my heart--just a few: the cute sofa, shelves with books and jars, dining pieces, butterflies, flowers and table to name a few!
This collection is perfect to document your family gatherings, memories, weddings-- every event you can think of. You REALLY need this collection- The Simple Life :)!
