Believe In the Magic! by Tya Smith
Hello there everyone! Well – welcome to December – the most wonderful time of the year! I had the pleasure of getting to work with the lovely “Simple Vintage North Pole” collection and I have six cards to share with you today! What a fun collection this is! Let me show you the cards I made!

This collection is full of the most adorable vintage looking Santas! I have used quite a few of the jolly old fellow on a few of my cards! This first one has this cute full face Santa that I added some ornaments and the sentiment of “Believe” fit perfectly with this Santa card! I love the red and white stripe on the letters!

This card was a fun one to make – I cut a circle out of the bottom right edge of the card and placed the Christmas tree die cut in the center and then took some of the ornament ephemera pieces and added some thin white crochet thread behind them and then hung them from the top edge of the card.  I did add some sparkle to the card with some silver Stickles.

I wanted to use a doily on this card so I pulled a white one from my stash and then added to some of the fun pattern papers in the collection. The Santa in his sleigh was a great focal point for my card and then I added a few white Nuvo Drops around to mimic a night sky.

Another Santa on this card too – I just couldn’t help myself! They are so cute! This time I took a few of the Solid pattern papers that match the collection and layered them on the card base. I separated the papers with a thin strip of some black and white stripe paper. I loved the richness of the pattern papers in this collection!

The stripe paper on this card was from the 6x8 paper pad – these are great for card making - the scale  is a  little smaller and look great on  cards. I love how some of our Bits and Pieces Ephemera already look like they are all layered up for you! The die cut with the Santa on the left came all layered looking and it was a quick and easy way to get some great dimension on my card without a lot of extra bulk.

On this last card I had some fun layered again some of the great pattern papers in the collection. I am such a sucker for a good stripe and I loved the red and the green against each other. In the middle I made my own little cluster of decorations with the Bits and Pieces, some Stickers and some Chipboard. I added one of my favorite adhesive Decorative Brads with some crochet thread in a bow glued behind it for some dimension.

Well, that’s all of them. I hope that if you haven’t started on your holiday cards yet, you will get the gorgeous “Simple Vintage North Pole” collection and create some of your own holiday handmade cards! Handmade may take a little more time, but I know people love the extra touch these types of cards give the recipient. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday season! Thank you for stopping by today!
