The Christmas scrapping season has officially begun and I'm back with my second layout using the adorable Simple Vintage 'Believe' collection! It’s full of Santa charm, florals, and nostalgic vibes — perfect for diving into festive creativity. Let me show you how this page came together!
To start off, I picked one of the 12x12 patterned papers called “DO YOU BELIEVE” — it features a big, jolly Santa surrounded by a lovely floral cluster. I carefully fussy-cut him out, distressed the edges, and adhered the piece to white cardstock for a clean and bright background.
To frame the layout, I cut four ½-inch strips from the “HOLIDAY TRADITIONS” paper. I distressed and folded each strip in the middle before adhering them to all four sides, creating a cozy, stitched-in look.
From the “FAVORITE THINGS” paper, I fussy-cut a few more floral clusters and mixed them with white flowers from the Floral Bits pack. I placed these along the right and upper areas of the page and even tucked a few blooms around Santa to blend him into the layout.
I matted my photo with a green patterned paper for a nice pop of festive color and tucked it just behind Santa’s cluster for a layered look.
For the title, I chose the chipboard “BELIEVE” sentiment — it fits perfectly right on top of the Santa and photo! I also grabbed one of the rub-ons and gently added bits of it between the florals, blending it into the border like magical little accents.
To finish it off, I added a few brads and a LOT of paper stars — I just love the effect stars give on a layout, every single time!
And of course, no layout is ever complete without my signature gold splatters to bring in some sparkle and tie it all together.
