Hello crafty friends! Today I’m so excited to share a set of eight beautiful handmade cards I created using the absolutely stunning Simple Vintage Lavender Fields collection. This collection has completely stolen my heart with its soft purples, warm honey tones, delicate florals, and sweet vintage touches.
I used mainly the 6x8 Paper Pad and the beautiful 12x12 Vintage Basics Kit as the pattern papers found on the cards. I also used all the amazing Bits and Pieces Ephemera packs (Chipboard Pieces, Bits and Pieces, Floral Bits and Pieces, and the Journal Bits and Pieces), the Foam Stickers, as well as the Decorative Brads to make up my cards. Each card was such a joy to create, and I truly think this is one of my favorite Simple Vintage collections to date. Let’s take a closer look at each card!
This first card, “You Are Amazing,” is full of soft, romantic layers featuring lavender sprigs and warm neutral tones. I created a focal point with a circular Bits and Pieces element tucked behind the sentiment, then built up dimension with florals, a sweet, layered heart embellishment, and a touch of ribbon and twine. The soft distressing around the edges gives it that perfectly worn, vintage feel.
For the “Always Be Happy” card, I leaned into those gorgeous lilac and golden hues. The layered banner pieces and doily add texture and depth behind the bold sentiment. I love the little bee Foam Sticker accents—they add a playful touch while tying in the honey-inspired elements of the collection. The buttons and twine detail at the top bring in even more cozy texture.
The “Sweet as Honey” card might be one of my favorites! That darling honey jar steals the show, layered over soft purples and a honeycomb background. I added lace trim, tags, and hexagon Foam Sticker accents to really play up the theme. The mix of textures—from paper to lace to twine—makes this card feel extra special and dimensional.
The “Just Bee You” card is all about those beautiful, layered florals. I created a full arrangement using die cuts, tucking in bits of ephemera and soft greenery for a lush look. The little bees scattered throughout add movement and whimsy, and I finished it off with layered hearts, twine, and Decorative Brads for that signature vintage charm.
On the “Enjoy the Moment” card, I used a bold, layered design with a vertical banner as the base for the sentiment. The mix of patterns and soft lavender tones creates a beautiful backdrop. I love how the small floral cluster and twine bow soften the overall look and add just the right amount of detail.
The “Grateful for You” card has such a sweet and thoughtful feel. I layered tags and soft floral elements behind the sentiment, creating a gentle, dimensional design. The soft purple background paired with the warm yellows makes this card feel both calming and uplifting.
For the “Life is So Sweet with You” card, I created a cozy, heartfelt design with one of the envelope Journal Bits and Pieces and a floral arrangement as the centerpiece. I added a beautiful ribbon bow with a decorative brad for a little extra charm. The layers of ephemera tucked behind the envelope give it that full, rich look that I just love in a vintage-inspired design.
Finally, the “Loving Life” card features a warm and inviting scene with a mix of florals, a sweet bicycle, and cozy little details. The sentiment is perfectly highlighted with layered elements and soft textures like doilies and twine. It feels like a peaceful moment captured in paper form.
