Today I’m sharing a beautiful little keepsake album featuring the gorgeous Simple Stories Simple Vintage Timeless Harmony collection. This collection is absolutely stunning and filled with the prettiest florals, soft details, and elegant vintage touches that make it perfect for documenting wedding memories or even creating a thoughtful handmade gift for an upcoming wedding. It truly creates a timeless keepsake that will be treasured for years to come.
For this project, I decided to use the new 4x6 mini chipboard album from Simple Stories, and I am completely obsessed with these albums! They are such a fun base to work with because you can customize them in so many ways — cover them with patterned paper, add texture and dimension, create interactive elements, or completely “junk” them up with layers and embellishments. They’re incredibly versatile and perfect for creating one-of-a-kind albums.
I decided to go back in time and document some photos from my wedding day. Since we had a beach wedding, the theme doesn’t naturally coordinate with the vintage florals and softer tones of the collection but converting the photos to black and white made everything come together beautifully. I love how elegant and timeless the finished album feels, and it has quickly become one of those special little treasures I know I’ll enjoy displaying in our home for years to come.
For the cover, I combined the black-and-white diagonal striped paper with one of the half-page inserts from the Sn@p Binder Insert Pack to create a fun combo-style cover design. I covered both the front and back chipboard pieces using papers from the 6x8 paper pad, and I also used many of those papers throughout the inside pages of the album. The smaller-scale patterns work perfectly for mini albums and layering.
One of my favorite parts of this project was working with the new Combo Elements paper from the 12x12 collection pack. I love that this sheet includes a mix of 4x4 cards, 3x4 elements, and 4x6 cards all on one sheet. The horizontal 3x4 cards worked especially well with the insert pages and made it so easy to create quick yet detailed layouts throughout the album.
Inside the album, I mixed together a variety of insert pages including standard 4x6 inserts, vertical 3x4 pockets, and pocket pages to add variety and interest throughout the project. I tucked in journaling pieces and decorative elements from the Combo Elements sheet and layered in lots of Bits & Pieces, floral ephemera, and foam stickers to bring dimension and softness to each page.
