I love how this layout came together! I was inspired by the layered design on the page to bring the story to life. My starting point was (and probably always is) one of the chipboard frames. Once, I backed the frame with my picture, then it was all about adding pieces of patterned paper and ephemera behind it to bring interest to the page.
Since I wanted all the layers to be showcased, I chose the Simple Vintage Meadow Violets paper for my background. I love the piece of torn notebook paper showcased in the collection; so, I fussy cut it from the 6x8 paper pad and repunched the holes, then used it as the first layer behind the left side of the photo frame. I continued adding pieces from the Ephemera, Bits & Pieces packs, as well as the sticker album.
To anchor the layers and photo to the page, I trimmed a piece from the Wild & Beautiful paper and set it on the center of the background. I tore a few pieces of the washi tape and layered it under the edges of the paper strip before attaching the photo and layers to the page.
I added a few extra embellishments to the right top corner of the picture frame to help balance the page a bit more. Just a few small pieces did the trick.
Though I love the sentiment in the chipboard frame, I decided to use that spot for my title placement. I simply combined pieces from the chipboard and foam embellishments at the bottom of the picture frame. To tie the entire page together, I distressed and folded the background at the top and bottom edges of the paper. I used some of the washi tape to cover the empty space, then added butterflies to each of the edges.
I think I mentioned that I love how this came together. I know you are going to love working with the beautiful Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers, too. I cannot wait to see what you will create!
