BE HAPPY -
Hello Simple Stories friends!
It's Nathalie here with a new project featuring the beautiful The Little Things collection. What can I say about this collection! It is just gorgeous and perfect for all your special memories and any other crafting project. This time, I am using it to documenta recent memory of one of my little Goddaughters.
I played with some ideas on how to bring as much as I could from the collection to the page, but ended up with the idea of creating a grid made up of polaroid style frames.
It all started with a small template I created for the polaroid photos. I cut them all from white cardstock, then from patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and 12x12 Patterned papers. Once, I had my frames ready, I set them in a grid formation in the center of the ENJOY EVERYDAY Patterned paper.
Once the frames were in place, then it was all about embellishing the layout. First of all, I reserved the center row as the focal point of my layout. So, it was all about creating small vignettes in each of the frames.
There are so many cute embellishments in this collection that it was easy to mix and match embellishments to create little clusters and add small sentiments to the page.
For the center row; first I used two frames to back the photo (as layers) and set them on right side of the page. I added the title to the left of the photo, then added a few floral embellishments so that they create a focal point in the page.
To finish my page, I sprinkled a few enamel dots around the frames, and left one frame totally empty for all my journaling lines. I just love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires you to use The Little Things collection for your next project.
XO
