Hello Simple Stories friends, it’s Becki here to share a mini album that I created with the new Simple Vintage Autumn Breeze collection. Fall is my favorite season to scrapbook. I LOVE all the rich colors, leaves, and pumpkins! This collection fits all the criteria for a classic, cozy, fall collection. I couldn’t resist making a mini album with this gorgeous collection.
I started by cutting circles of patterned paper from the 6x8 paper pad and the 12x12 basics papers using a cereal bowl as a template. Sometimes, you’ve got to make it work with what you have on hand!
After cutting out all the pages, I poked holes around the edge of each paper with a paper piercer. Then, I stitched around the edge of each of the pages with brown embroidery floss using a whip stitch. I love the beautiful texture and definition that it gives to each of the pages. The whip stitch goes so quickly! It only took a couple of hours to stitch around the edge of each of the pages. It was a perfect project to tackle on a road trip. I love taking scrapbooking projects in the car with me!
When I finished stitching the pages, I punched a hole in each of the pages with a hole punch and put the album together using a single binder ring. Once the album was put together, it was time to start adding photos and embellishments.
To make things easy, I printed all the photos the same size (3” x 3”). Each two-page spread has a photo, some embellishment, and space for journaling. I’ll add the journaling a little later.
I am so happy with how this album came together. I had so much fun working with this gorgeous collection. I cannot wait to create another album and some more layouts with this collection. I’m excited to see what you create with this collection too!
