Hello Simple Stories friends! Anya is here today and I am so excited to share with you a couple of projects I created with the beautiful The Simple Life collection! This line is very versatile and can be used for many different projects and themes, from family album to vintage scrapbook pages, to a classic gift box.
To create this box I used a scoring board and a couple of circle dies for the window. I toed the box with plain white satin ribbon and decorated it with stickers and lots of fussy cut butterflies. To give each butterfly a little more movement effect I layered them with a smaller butterfly on top.
For the window you may use a clear transparency, but I wanted to hide contents in the box, therefore a piece from a plastic file I purchased at an office store a long time ago worked just fine.
Since I enjoyed playing with this color combination so much I decided to create a mini album as well. My album measures about 4.5” x 5” and it will be perfect to hold some precious vintage black/white photos. I also included a lot of tags to this album, which can be used to record little stories.
This collection is so elegant, it may be used to create handmade gifts that may be beautiful and meaningful at the same time. I hope these projects inspired you to create something with this beautiful line!
