Always in My Heart

Always in My Heart

Hello Simple Stories friends.
Karlla here and I'm grateful to be with you for another year. Another year sharing my love and with the brand that I have so much admiration for. I hope I can touch your hearts with this project. Mother and son's love is inexplicable. Living this experience is unique.
I love to take a chance on shabby chic, and the "Simple Vintage Love Story" collection captured my heart. I was able to create a background just the way I imagined it and with a lot of texture. For this, I used the papers "4x6 Elements and Ruby/Mint."
I cut diagonally the "4x6Elements" paper into several strips. Then decrease the length of each one of them a little (this small cut in each band helps to give it a space after it is glued to the base paper). I tore each straight well. I placed these tracks on the paper "Ruby/Mint" and glued it on leaving the edges a little loose. I did a machine sew with white thread and lifted these edges a little with my fingers.
As a basis for the photos, I used two "Tag Elements" and an "Ephemera" cards. With a lot of foam tape to give a lot of visibility in the overlays. And then the photos.
I love to put elements together to compose the decoration of the layout. In this photo we can see several phrases such as the title and brads to highlight this space. You can find these elements in the "Chipboard Clusters, Foam Stickers and 6x12 Chipboard.
Finally, I couldn't help but say how much these butterflies stole my heart. They are simply EVERYTHING! I love grouping different sizes and adding a detail in the center, whether it's a seam, a brad or the beautiful enamel dots.
I really hope you enjoyed it. I'm in love with this collection. The combination of decorations, prints and elements are breathtaking. Looking forward to seeing your creations.
See you next month. With love,
Karlla Dauer.
