Hello crafty friends, Gloria Parra here with a new layout using the stunning Simple Vintage “’Tis the Season” Christmas collection. I am a huge Christmas fan and love getting our family pictures taken every December. This classic collection is perfect to highlight those beautiful memories.
As soon as I saw the variety of tickets in this collection, I knew I wanted to create something fun and unique around them. I decided to start with the red plaid patterned paper as my background, I love the boldness of this paper and really wanted to use it in my layout. I added an 11” x 11” white color vibe cardstock on top of it and added white machine stitching to the borders.
As always, I love the tag patterned paper in this collection, they are just so gorgeous and fun to create with! For this layout I decided to use 5 of them and create a horizontal strip on the middle of my layout, placing some of them lower and some higher to create interest.
I then proceeded to tuck a bunch of die cut tickets between my tags and some smaller tickets on top of 3 tags to create a visual triangle. It’s important to keep in mind the colors of the tags and ticket to balance out the layout.
For my photo, I used a stunning oval shaped chipboard frame and placed my “Merry Christmas” title on top of the lower part of the frame. On the left side I added the chipboard camera to represent the family photoshoot we took that Christmas. I love looking for embellishments that help tell my story.
I then used the amazing rub-ons to add a little mixed media below my tags and added some final foam floral elements to the sides of my title. Finally, I added some black and white twine to my tags looping the twine to create an interesting and fun shape that would go through all my five tags.
