I'm so happy to be back on the blog with some Flipbook inspiration for you! I wanted to start a book that's all about me. It felt right as I was nearing my 40th birthday coming in a few weeks. My plan is to add pictures of my favorite things, be it food, looks, pictures, flowers, etc.
For this project, I used the Simple Vintage Essentials Color Palette collection and a Navy Flipbook. The cover is made with the Pink Collage paper from the Essentials collection kit and I used both sides, machine stitched with pink thread. I also cut out some flowers in various sizes and layered them for dimension. The leaves are hand cut from the green polka dot paper.
For my first pocket page, I created a flip up in the 4x6 section and embellished it with a foam butterfly and some stickers. I mainly kept to the same palette of pink, blush, orange, yellow and purple.
For my second pocket page, I added some more layered flowers, stickers, thread and enamel dots. The photos are the main focus and I alternated between a photo and a title or 'rest your eyes' block.
