There’s something undeniably magical about Christmas memories, especially the ones that take us back to the very first time we shared a special moment with the people we love. For this month’s project, I had the joy of working with the Mouse Christmas collection, a charming line full of vintage vibes, soft colors, and that warm holiday feeling we all adore.

As soon as I saw this collection, I knew exactly what story I wanted to tell. My dream was to create a layout with recent photos from a holiday trip to the amusement park with my family, but the last time we visited during Christmas time was back in 2014, when I took my son and my husband for the very first time. So instead of creating something new, I embraced the nostalgia and decided to honor that unforgettable memory.

Using a 12x12 layout as my base, I reached for a mix of circular punches from 1” to 2”, scalloped shapes, different patterns and began building a festive Christmas wreath. Each circle added movement, charm, and softness to the design. Bit by bit, the wreath came to life, becoming a colorful and joyful frame for the photos at the center.

To bring even more dimension and detail, I embellished the wreath with elements from the collection: enamel dots sparkling like tiny ornaments, foam stickers adding height and coziness, and the sweetest bits & pieces to complete that vintage holiday charm.
And because this memory means so much to me and my family, this page is finding a new home... in a frame! It will join our Christmas decorations every year, reminding us of that magical first visit, tiny moments frozen in time, and the joy of watching my son discover a festive world for the first time.

Creating this page felt like wrapping a gift from the past, with love, nostalgia, and a touch of Christmas magic. ✨🎄
Hugs,
Aline Martins
