Hello Simple Stories friends!
It's Nathalie here to share a bit of inspiration featuring the gorgeous REMEMBER collection. Leave it up to Simple Stories to create the perfect collection to document any moment, but especially the memory of those who we love but are no longer with us. I am in love with this collection, and pulled a photo of my "Papacitos", my grandparents (who help raise me, but are now here just in spirit) for this layout.
I love how this page came together so organically and seamlessly in just a short amount of time. The inspiration for the layout started with the Always Remember Paper.
The cluster in the bottom right corner of this paper was perfectly layered, but I wanted to add extras for my page. Using a sharp craft knife, I carefully separated the pieces (without taking them off the edge of the paper), so that I could tuck extra pieces behind them.
First, I backed one of the chipboard frames with one of the last photos of my grandparents together almost 12 years ago. Then, I fussy cut the large picture frame and flower cluster from one of the papers from the 6x8 paper pad. I tucked these pieces behind the photo and between the corner pieces on the paper to create the large, layered cluster,
I made sure that my cluster expanded along the edges of the bottom right corner of the page. Adding a few small flowers under the film strip just adds texture and adds impact to the page. Thankfully the layers created the perfect spot for my title to the left of the cluster at the bottom of the page. I simply added a large chipboard sticker and a few phrase stickers to complete the title work.
To balance the page, I used the craft knife to carefully separate the flower at the top left corner of the layout. I used a few embellishments to bulk up this cluster. Once I had this in place, I scattered a few butterflies, enamel dots, and a few drops of acrylic gold ink around the page.
I am so in love with this collection, I am sure you are also going to love it. Be sure to share with us what you create with it!
XO
