Jungle Safari! by Cheryl Gerhard

Jungle Safari! by Cheryl Gerhard
Hey Simple Stories friends! I hope you’re having a fabulous day! Cheryl here today with a project using the cutest collection ever: Into The Wild. I can’t even begin to tell you how adorable this collection is! I literally can’t stop looking at all the cute animals - they make me so happy :)

I was inspired to create this truck by a trip to a safari park in Portugal several years ago. And when I saw this jungle safari chipboard piece I thought it was meant to be. A cute koala and tiger and taking the mini albums for a ride to collect lots of fun memories!

I created the base using light pink Color Vibe card and made several boxes and assembled them, to kind of make it look like a safari truck. I wanted to keep it simple and focus on the albums, as they’re the most important element. I layered patterned paper on top of the Color Vibe card and machine stitched on every layering piece for extra detail and texture. Enamel dots add the perfect finishing touch.

I cut out circles from black Color Vibe card and layered quite a few of them to create wheels, but also make it sturdy so it can hold my project and albums. The truck holds 3 mini albums, which I created out of chipboard, patterned paper and lots of machine stitching again. Ribbons help keep the albums closed and in place.

Each mini album has a slightly different theme: wild cats, crocodiles and all other animals. I have left the pages blank for now, so they can be filled with lots of tiny photos of an amazing zoo or safari adventure. I think I will have to book a trip to the London zoo again soon for some fun memories!

If you love animals, zoos or safaris then you need to get this collection. It is so cute and bright and fun!
xoxo

I recreated this mini album and truck.
I loved this design so much, I’ve gone and created a couple more trucks and mini albums.
Pretty soon I’ll have my own parking lot 😂 thanks for sharing such a creative idea!
