Hi, Friends! My name is Andrea and I am so excited to share a very special album I made for a crafty friend. I recently traveled to Puerto Rico to teach at a Scrapbooking event in a beautiful location by the beach. I met the most wonderful people and had a wonderful time. I wanted to make an album for one of my friends who took care of me and my husband even before we got there. The ‘Just Beachy’ collection is absolutely gorgeous and perfect to pair it with a pink 6x8 Sn@p! Album. I left a few unfinished pages in this album for my friend to add her own photos and memories.
The Just Beachy collection is everything that is right. The color palette and designs are simply perfect, fun, and easy to work with. If you know me, you know I love the Simple Stories foam stickers with all my heart, so of course I had to use those to decorate my album cover. The rub-ons are also a favorite of mine since they came back last year and I used them along with a trio of enamel dots and a 6x8 paper from the paper pad to decorate the first chipboard divider.
For the pages, I mixed some page protectors, with the decorated pages that come with the Sn@p! Albums and some inserts I created using the 12x12 papers. I love adding decorative elements outside the pockets as well as machine stitching details. I also used chipboard frames to decorate a couple of pages. These frames make it so easy to add dimension and texture to the pages.
I did leave a few pages unfinished and the rest of the empty pocket pages so my friend can also add some of her own photos from the event. This was an unforgettable trip and I wanted to share this little book with her.
